We are now looking for someone to assist and support the volunteers as a Centre Officer.

The Case Officer is:

• responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of our legal clinics, which includes working alongside our practice manager, volunteers, social workers, and other coordinators;

• is able to work under pressure, and may be required to work occasional evenings, weekends, and overtime to accommodate cases and activities organized by PBHK; and

• receives remuneration of HK$20,000 - 30,000.00 month for a 5-day working week (commensurate with experience, primary duties and responsibilities or pro rata if working part time.

What we are looking for:

• Undergraduate degree in law, or experience working in legal profession preferred;

• At least 1 year’s work experience of legal practice (not necessarily as a practicing lawyer) is preferred;

• Be passionate about social justice with strong commitment to pro bono work and public interest law;

• Hold a valid Hong Kong visa permissible for employment in Hong Kong or permanent Hong Kong Identification Card;

• Fluent in written and spoken English and Cantonese, and ideally Mandarin or a South Asian language as well;

• Be a good communicator and team player;

• Can work autonomously, and takes initiative for work and responsibly delivers results; and

• Be a quick learner who is able to work under pressure and in a dynamic environment.
